What hardware is in the Information Commons Computer Lab?

Answer

The Information Commons computer lab has computers available for use by TCU students, faculty and staff.

  • 72 Windows workstations equipped with base PC software. Twelve of these computers have dual monitors (located at the starfish shaped tables on each side of the lab)
  • 28 iMac computers running OS X, with base Mac software package. Six of these computers have dual monitors (located at the starfish table on each side of the lab nearest the bridges to Rees-Jones Hall).
  • There are two scanning stations, one with a sheet feed scanner that can scan up to 30 pages at a time, and one with a flat bed scanner for high resolution scans of photographs.
  • The four printers in the IC Lab can also be used as sheet feed scanners that send scanned documents as email attachments.
