How far back do recital recordings go?

My name is Galen Dean Peiskee, Jr. I attended TCU 2003-2005 and 2008-2011. I gave 2 piano recitals in 2004, and then 3 between 2008-2011. I have lost all of my recital recordings, and I'm wondering if they are archived. Thank you.

Answer

The TCU School of Music Recital Archives can in theory go back to 1949. However, easily accessed archives that are readily available for patrons to acquire a copy of are only 1990 to the present. We have digitized several parts of the older formats, but there are significant gaps. The best way to request a copy of a recital is to fill out the Concert Request Form. Please fill out the form as completely as possible with as specific dates as possible. Our staff will look up the requested concerts and contact you regarding availability and delivery of the materials.
